“New Year, New You”- 5 Resolutions to revive your dating life…
“New Year, New You” is about to become a joke in 2017. People on social media are already threatening to delete their “friends” if they start the New Year with this popular mantra. Although one of my favorites, I guess this catch phrase has turned into a cliché. Maybe it’s because many of us are reminded that we’re still standing in the same place; not pursuing our goals, not saving for that rainy day, not staying physically fit, not following up with our health check-ups, and still…single!!!! In the New Year, if it’s not your desire to be “single and fabulous”, then D9LOVE is right in time to assist you with finding Love. Let D9LOVE show you how to set up healthy relationship goals as a part of your new year resolutions. Below are our top 5:
Resolution #1-Get to Know Yourself
While waiting for the hottest new dating app (D9LOVE) to launch, reintroduce yourself to yourself. What do you like? What do you like to do for fun? What are your short and long term goals for 2017? Write them down. Take yourself out on a date. Instead of waiting for that special someone or your friend who always says “I would love to try that too” to go; take yourself and figure out what you enjoy. Get dressed up or dressed down, but get off the couch. Explore your community or another community. Try something new or get back to something you haven’t done in a long time. “Do you!” Learn to be content with yourself first. How’s someone else going to enjoy dating you, if you don’t know yourself?
Resolution #2- Take Care of Yourself
Mental and physical health care should be your top priority at the start of the new year. If you look and feel good, it will build your confidence and make you more comfortable meeting new people.According to most relationship coaches, confidence is the key to any successful relationship. It’s your most attractive attribute. When you’re wondering “how did he get with her”- the underlying factor is confidence. Therefore, follow through with your monthly or annual checkups. Don’t waste your money; either utilize your gym membership or see the world as your gym. Join a local running group or challenge your friends and family on your new Fitbit. Get up and move!
Resolution #3- Throw Out the rules
There are no rules to dating- just be yourself! Remember, you just took the first step to getting to know yourself while waiting for D9LOVE to launch. You know what you like and where to go for a great first date. So whether it’s through real life interactions at D9LOVE events or online, make your move and BE YOURSELF.
Resolution #4- Sign Up now
According to Pew Research Center, 23% of online daters have entered into marriage or a long term relationship after using a dating app to find love. So, don’t be scared of online dating. While it’s important to make time for the things we want, I understand there are only 24 hours in a day to accomplish our goals. So swiping right or left gives us the convenience of keeping our resolution while doing our daily chores, working 9 to 5, or becoming a mini mogul. You will be surprised at the possibilities of finding love online or at the very least someone to have a great first date with. Don’t be shy and sign up for the beta launch on the homepage.
Resolution #5- Create a great profile
Since D9LOVE is an online dating app, your profile is the gateway to attracting great dates and hopefully finding love. A great profile consists of clear pictures highlighting your best assets. Photos that consist of you: doing your favorite activity, wearing Greek paraphernalia (after all it’s D9LOVE), and rocking your best smile. Photos should primarily be pictures solely of you, group shots are confusing. A summary of what you’re looking for in a relationship and a few of your top five interests. Keep things positive- try to stay away from what you’re not looking for. If you’re clear about your intent, you’ll attract what you are looking for and can continue the conversation after the match offline.
So take the first step, sign up for the beta launch, and see you in 2017!
